We're Moving Too Fast...Aren't We? (Guro Reiten x Reader)

You're enjoying a night out, on a rooftop bar with a few other WSL clubs, and your own team, Arsenal. It was WSL tradition to throw a big party in London for the end of season, usually this is only the major clubs as the others struggle to get to grips with near relegation. Today's team attendees were yourselves at Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, The Manchesters and Villa. 

"Come ooooon Y/N it's time to dance" Your mate Victoria Pelova slurs at you. You approach her and steady her with your arms. 

"Think that's enough to drink now Vic, don't want you vomiting over the carpet in our house" You smile, helping her find a chair and some water, Viv takes over on 'motherly duties' so you can walk away and be with the others. 

"Going on the pull tonight Y/N?" Alex Scott nudges your side. She always gets an invite alongside many other retired players, a lot are still very close friends with the teams they played for. 

"Nah, you know that's not my thing anymore" You wink at her. 

"Y/N I've seen you kissing multiple girls on the same night, why not here!" Leah nudges you. 

"I don't like to mix business with pleasure" you joke, asking the bartender for another glass. “For the record, that was a joke. I’m not like that anymore, I’ve matured from the partygirl I was when I was 19! Magda helped a lot with that”.

"Well at least flirt around a bit, it's always fun to watch how quickly you work your magic" Leah says, convincingly. 

"If you need tips on how to pull you could've just asked Lee" You tease. "but fine, I'll do it, what harm can it do". 

"Okay challenge for tonight, a Chelsea girl" Alex wiggles her eyebrows at you, both you and Leah visibly shudder at the word 'Chelsea'. 

"For one night fine, but mark my words, you'll never find me dating or sleeping with a Chelsea girl" You shake your head walking over to the dancefloor drink in hand. 

You dance with a few of your friends, one of those being Magda, even if she is still Chelsea through and through she was like a mother figure to you during your loan spell at Linköpings when you were much younger. She sees you glancing around and stops you with her hand on your chest, letting out what seemed to be a sigh.

"Y/N... Really? I thought you grew out of this during your year in Sweden with me" She smacks your shoulder.

"It's for Leah's entertainment,and for a bet… and it's a Chelsea girl" You shudder again, making Magda laugh and nudge you.

"Well here's some advice. They don't like the gunners and wouldn't want to flirt with one, but I've heard Guro, Niamh and Jessie all say something somewhat nice about you" She sighs, gesturing over to the girls.

"It's only some flirting to show Leah I'm better at flirting than her" You offer a small smile "Promise I won't be sleeping around or trying to get with one of them" she holds out her pinky, which you interlock yours with hers.

You dance over to the Chelsea girls and greet them somewhat politely, getting hugs from all three.

"You guys had an insane season, congratulations" You hold your drink up to them, which they do in response as you all sip your drinks.

"So what brings you over here?" Jessie elbows you.

"My girls are boring or waaaaay too drunk to be dancing with me" you chuckle, sliding up a bit closer to the group.

“Reckon you’ll ever play for us Y/N?” Niamh smirks at you cheekily.

“Absolutely not, you won't catch me dead in a Chelsea shirt” You grimace, causing the three girls to laugh at your response. “Now what about you guys wearing a Y/L/N shirt to an Arsenal match one day in support of the better team?”.

“Not a chance” Guro says, rolling her eyes.

“I bet I can get you wearing an Arsenal shirt to one of my matches by the end of this year, in support of me” You smirk at Guro. Jessie and Niamh seem to be deep in another conversation with Magda and Pernille to the side, leaving you to work your magic like you told your friends you would do.

“It’s so on, if you fail, you can wear a Reiten shirt at one of our matches, I’ll get you front row seats so you can admire the view” She winks holding out her hand which you shake, sealing your bet.

“Oh believe me I am enjoying the view already” You look at her eyes and give her a soft smile.

“Wait a second…are you doing what I think you’re doing?” She questions.

“Depends on if you like it or not” You mumble, suddenly feeling slightly nervous. This was unlike your usual behaviour when it came to flirting. As you’re feeling the nerves you look into her eyes and feel yourself melt slightly at the soft look she’s giving you.

“And what if I do like it?” She says in a more suggestive tone “Is this the great Y/N getting nervous? Never thought I’d see the day”. “If you do like it, then I’d suggest we take this to the dance floor” You nod over to the dancefloor where many of your friends are dancing together. “Oh and I don’t get nervous, even if it’s a beautiful woman like you”. You whisper in her ear and see a very faint blush on her face. You smile to yourself as you both walk to the dancefloor hand in hand. 

You dance together for a while, still engaging in conversation with each other. As the night goes on the drinks continue flowing and you feel yourself getting more and more confident, making somewhat bolder moves and both getting drunker.

“åh herregud!” You hear as your eyes shoot open. “What the hell, why are you here?”. 

You look around and have absolutely no idea where you are, apart from the fact Guro Reiten is sat up next to you in a bed that you’re both sharing.

“It’s okay, we’re fine” You calm her down. “Now, how the hell did we get here? Where are we?”

“My apartment, and I have no idea how we got here together” She sighs, you admire her morning hair, messily laying on her shoulders. The light coming in through the blinds of her room makes her eyes glisten and skin glow. Wait what?

“Okay question one, do you live here alone?” You ask her, she shakes her head. “Oh my god you have a girlfriend? Shit I’m so sorry, fuck, I should go” You panic and start standing up to get ready to leave. “No you idiot, I share a house with Erin and Niamh” She drags you back down. “My question for you is, what do you think we did last night?”.

“Well from the fact we are both still pretty much in last night's clothes, not a lot” You chuckle, walking over to her mirror “Although I don’t remember me having these yesterday” you narrow your eyes at her in the reflection in the mirror whilst pointing at the trail of hickeys on your neck, causing her to blush. 

“It could’ve been anyone!” She says with her eyes wide.

“Considering I woke up in your bed, I’m very sure on who it was” You roll your eyes. You sit in silence for a few seconds, both getting your bearings on what happened, how and what you’re gonna do to get away with it.

“Do you actually remember much from last night?” She asks you, leaning back against the mattress, you follow her lead and lay next to her. Her shirt has risen slightly from her flopping onto the bed and you can’t help but admire her body. “Eyes up here Y/LN” she smirks as you quickly snap your eyes back up to hers.

“I remember enough to have a good understanding of why I’m here. For the record, Leah and Alex dared me to pull a Chelsea player but as soon as we started talking that all went out the window” You break eye contact, your nerves get the better of you until you feel a hand gently moving your chin to force you back into eye contact with her.

“I guessed that after you snuck your way over to our table, they were watching you the whole time. I also really enjoyed time with you Y/N, I can make myself nice and free today if you want to re-do last night… but with less alcohol please” She says holding her stomach, you nod back enthusiastically.

“I can run home and grab my car? I can drive us somewhere if you like, as it seems we only live around the corner from each other!” You say excitedly. “That and I need to try to sneak in without waking up Vic and Gio, that’s going to be a nightmare”.

“Meet me outside in an hour? That gives me time to freshen up and look less like I had a night with an Arsenal player” She fake heaves, you roll your eyes in response and walk to the door of her room.

“WAIT” She grabs your hand “I think the girls are downstairs, let me distract them and I’ll say Cereal when you’re clear to escape” She says walking out the room. You sneak down quietly and hide around a corner from the girls.

“No I didn’t sleep with Y/N! Jesus Erin, you’ll never catch me with a gooner” She laughs. You hear a gasp from Niamh, instantly you feel that dreadful feeling of being caught.

“Did she do this?” Niamh continues fussing over Guro “In all seriousness I’m proud of you for getting some Guro, it’s about time”.

“Ugh, can we stop talking about her now, have we got any cereal in the kitchen or did you eat it all Erin?” Guro says, you notice the codeword and slowly make your way to the front door of the house and manage to escape barely making a noise. Rather than the walk of shame, you opt for an Uber home rather than walking for 10 minutes, still unable to fight that nauseous feeling. 

When you arrive home you open the door to find Vic passed out on the floor in the living room, you start making her a coffee to help her with the wake up, alongside some painkillers. You lift her gently off the floor and place her on the sofa whilst making her drink, she starts waking up too thankfully.

“Morning Y/N, still wearing last night's clothes?” She jokes.

“Didn’t even make it to my bed, you’re expecting me to go through all that effort to get dressed too?” You lie.

“Morning you two” Gio sings as she walks in with a starbucks in hand.

“Where were you, young lady?” You joke, hands on hips.

“Oh I stayed at Katherine’s, I can see you two got home safe?” Gio says looking over at you both still in last night's clothes. 

“Oh yeah, I got in a little after this one, but all in one piece!” You say nudging Vic. 

“God how drunk was I? I don’t even remember getting home, bet it was Viv” Vic sighs. You sigh, relieved that your housemates have no suspicions of you staying out last night.

“Anyway as much as I love you both, I need to get out of these clothes, and get some shopping done” You say.

“Can I come?” Vic asks.

“Nope, unless you really want to go with me to test out which guitar I want for 3 hours” You smirk.

“Nevermind, I’d rather sit at home eating ice cream” She kisses you on the cheek as she walks off to the kitchen with the coffee you made her, you make your way up to your room. As you get dressed after your shower, there’s a gentle knock on your door. 

“What? I already said I’m going guitar shopping!” You grumble. “It’s me” You hear Gio on the other side “Are you decent?” you open the door for her to come in, you’ve not put a shirt on yet but have your sports bra on.

“Now, Vic may believe your lies, but I do not. Where were you last night?” She squints at you.

“I’m not lying, I was at home just after Vic” You shrug, Gio chuckles.

“I’m sorry Y/N, I won’t tell on you, but I can tell” She gives you a soft smile.

“But..how? You weren’t even home?” You sigh.

“One, you set off our ring doorbell with motion just now. I’ve deleted the recording of you fumbling your way in earlier. Two, your neck tells me a different story” She smirks poking at one of the dark red marks “Now I’ll keep your secret safe, on one condition. You tell me who it was”. 

“You know I love you right?” You look at her guiltily, again she gives you her squinted look. “It was a Chelsea player”.

“I can’t believe you! I don’t even care who it is! If the team finds out you’re so fucked” Gio gasps. You throw a shirt on and get ready to leave whilst Gio is still fussing about your ordeal.

“You’re meeting up with her, aren’t you?” She smirks.

“Maybe I am, maybe I’m not” You say whilst still grabbing your stuff to go.

“Listen, if you’re thinking what I’m thinking… This is massively out of your normal behaviour. The Y/N Y/L/N doesn’t do dates. So this is clearly something special. I promise I won’t tell anyone, and I can’t wait for you to tell me all about your date later” Gio wraps you in a tight hug and kisses your cheek. “Now go get your girl!” She smacks your back.

You jog out of the house yelling a ‘bye’ and ‘love you’ to your housemates. You get in your car and drive to Guro’s apartment. As you pull up outside you see her having an animated conversation with Erin and Niamh and lower the window slightly to hear the conversation.

“No Erin, it's not some random creep I’ve met. I promise she’s really nice” Guro groans.

“I trust you, but I don’t trust her. Let me meet her. Is that her now?” She points directly at your car and starts walking towards it alongside Guro and Niamh. You decide to hop out of the car and greet them.

“Absolutely not, not a chance. Guro why a gooner!” Erin groans. You two have hung out a few times together post Chelsea and Arsenal matches so you are on good speaking terms.

“Hey nothing wrong with us!” You joke back smiling at Erin.

“Right, I’m going all protective on you now” She nudges Guro to get in your car whilst you two talk. “What are your intentions with Guro, and what happened last night?”.

“I had a feeling this was coming” You sigh “I know I have this history, but that’s all it is now. My intentions with Guro however? I don’t even know, but I do know I will treat her with the respect she deserves. I’m sorta new to this whole going on a date thing and I’m super nervous and I really like her…and now I’m rambling” You blush, Erin starts grinning, Niamh gives a nod.

“Our protective duties are done. She’s all yours. I trust you Y/N” Erin gives you a hug. 

“But you didn’t even let me tell you what happened last night?” You question.

“Ah we don’t need to know, because I let you two and Niamh in last night. You were like giggly schoolgirls. You and I had to carry Guro up the stairs and that was a disaster, followed by us doing the same for Niamh. I was only joking about being protective, I know you care, even if it has only been one day of getting to know her and for the record, I had a feeling you guys would hit it off one day” She winks. You laugh and have a small conversation with the two of them before leaving for your date with Guro.

“Have fun you two! But not too much, yeah?” Niamh jokes as you start pulling the car away. As you get on the road you put your playlist on in the car and sit comfortably in Guro’s company.

“What did they say to you?” She asks, looking over to you. You keep your eyes on the road.

“Well, they went all protective, I rambled, turns out Erin let us and Niamh in last night and we carried you up the stairs, and then had to carry Niamh too. Now she thinks she’s cupid as she expected us to get on well” You chuckle, Guro groans.

“I swear to God she’s so annoying” Guro whines. “What did you ramble about?”.

“You” You say quietly.

“I’m sorry, I couldn’t quite hear you” She teases.

“You know what I said. You, I rambled about you. How this is all very new to me and even if it has been less than 24 hours I already really care about you and think you deserve the world” You ramble “Look what you’ve done I’m rambling again!” You grumble.

“Well I think it’s cute” both you and Guro start blushing. Never in your wildest dreams did you think you’d ever be such a mess for someone.

"...and that's how I missed the Derby last year" You chuckle as Guro laughs along. 

"To think I thought it was a sport related injury, not tripping down the stairs drunk trying to chase Frida" She laughs. You stir your coffee and admire her, you find yourself getting lost in her eyes once again. 

"You know, you aren't all that bad Y/LN" Guro smiles, placing a hand on yours. 

"Same with you, Reiten" You give her hand a squeeze. 

"I don't wanna go back to the girls after this, I'm gonna get quizzed" Guro groans. 

"You can always come over to mine? Vic and Gio will be home but we can order some food in and chill?" You offer, she nods in response.

You open your door and you're hit with silence, either they're in their rooms or out. 

"The coast is clear, go go go" you say, dragging Guro in. Luckily you were right, neither of your housemates were home. Your phone vibrates in your pocket. 

Gio - GURO REITEN?! 

As you both settle on your sofa you respond to Gio. 

Y/N - Damn doorbell… Just a friend x

Gio - Liar. Keep your naughty business to your room please, we will be home soon (I didn't tell Vic)❤️

You sigh as you lock your phone, look at Guro who's also looking at your phone. 

"Just a friend?" Guro looks at you. 

"Well… I didn't wanna put a label on it, that's a lot of pressure for us" You mumble. 

"Well I don't wanna just be your friend Y/N" She strokes your cheek "I like this side of you, nervous, caring and a real charmer".

"I try, I try" You chuckle "But in all seriousness, I feel the same. How about… Dating?" You suggest.

"As long as that means I can do this…" She leans in and kisses you, you get carried away until you hear the door being unlocked, you both run up the stairs and hide from your housemates who luckily didn't spot you. 

"That was a close one" Guro breathes out heavily.

You hear a hello downstairs from someone you didn't expect. 

"Oh my god Frida's home from visiting her girlfriend!" You instantly jump up "I'll be right back! FRIDA FRIDA FRIDA" you run down the stairs yelling and jump into your best friend's arms. 

"Oh hello Y/N, I missed you too" Frida laughs, hugging you tightly. "Where are the other two?". 

"They went out, they'll be back soon though!" You smile "You should probably unpack and shower, I'll leave you to it!" you say as you run back up to your room. Guro is just sitting on your bed, admiring your room and looking at your medals and awards. 

"Enjoying yourself?" you smile, she nods. You pass her your phone with your local Chinese takeaway menu on it so she can pick what she wants, once you order you cuddle on the bed just chatting quietly. 

"I can't believe I'm dating an Arsenal player" Guro groans. 

"I'd be honoured too" You smirk. 

"You're never getting me to wear your shirt, national team maybe but Arsenal it's a hard pass" She kisses your cheek. 

"What would it take to get you to wear an Arsenal shirt" You ask her. 

"Hmmm" she taps her chin thinking. You smirk and lean in to kiss her. "That won't work but it'll help your case". You connect your lips and carry on from where you left off downstairs. You lean over her and kiss her from above her, it continues getting fairly heated, quiet moans, shaky breaths. 

"Hey Y/N your food is…. WOOOAH! I am so sorry! I didn't know you had someone up here… wait GURO?!" Frida shrieks. 

“I would say it’s not what it looks like but… yeah” You sigh as you roll off Guro.

“Y/N, a word please? In private” Frida says, waving you out of the room and shutting the door. “Okay you know I love you a lot. But Guro has been through a lot, don’t play around with her, be honest and open and you’ll be fine”.

“Frida trust me, I don’t ever want to hurt her. Yeah it’s a lot for only a day of getting to know eachother, but there’s a connection we have and I can’t explain it. Ever since I first played against her a few years back I always felt nervous seeing her. She’s just so pretty and I used to find her somewhat intimidating. I wanted to get her attention but I knew she had a girlfriend and it’d just be seen as me doing ‘a Y/N’. Main reason I stopped partying and messing about, and she doesn’t even know it.” You ramble.

“Y/N…you really do care about her don’t you? I remember the last match you played Norway that you went all blushy when you did a shirt swap with her. It all makes sense! Y/N has a loooover” Frida sings.

“Shut uuuup!” You groan. “Now can I get back to my girlfriend but not girlfriend?” You whine.

“Yep, but on one condition, you tell the team when you’re official. Both teams that is” She smirks.

“Deal” You say as you open your bedroom door to go back in. 

“Come sort out your food you two, or I’m stealing your spring rolls” Frida yells up the stairs. You instantly spring off the bed.

“NOOOOO!” You run down the stairs and tackle Frida, with Guro following behind, removing you from your friend and pinning you down.

“Traitor! You’re a traitor!” You say towards Guro.

“Us Norwegians stick together” Frida fist bumps Guro and you scowl at them.

You hear a commotion at the door followed by your other housemates walking in. 

“Oh. My. God. We have a Chelsea player in our house, this feels so wrong” Gio jokes, going to greet Guro “I’m Gio, but you can call me Y/N’s worst nightmare”. Guro laughs and gives Gio a small hug. Followed by Vic. The two had brought home food for them and Frida so you all sit on the sofas and eat your food, engaging in chatter. 

“Guro, why her though” Frida whines.

“Hey I heard her ramble to you through the door, I think just that alone was self explanatory” Guro shrugs, your eyes go wide. Guro hugs into your side. 

"I never thought I'd see Y/N with a girlfriend. You're so happy and it's barely been a day" Vic grins.

“Yeah well, get used to it” You smile leaning more into Guro.

After a few hours of chatting, eating and watching shows your housemates decide to call it a night.

“I should probably get going, I’ve got training in the morning” Guro sighs, with a sad smile on her face “I had a lot of fun Y/N, I’m really glad we did have the guts to have a drunk sleepover”.

“Me too, how about I give you a lift home? That or you can always stay for the night? I’ve got some spare clothes and I can take you home in the morning and give you a lift to training, I have no plans tomorrow so I don’t mind hel-” You ramble until Guro breaks it with a gentle kiss. 

“If it helps you stop rambling, I’ll stay tonight. How about we go out for dinner tomorrow…its a team dinner with partners at Chelsea so you’re more than welcome to go with me, that’s if you’d want to do that” She blushes. You nod in response.

“We aren’t moving too fast are we?” You chuckle “Because if so, I don’t care”.

“I think we’ve both had our eye on each other for a while, so I guess we are just making up for lost time” Guro smiles, squeezing your hand as you stifle a yawn. 

“Right you, let’s go to bed” She pulls you upstairs.

"So Are You!"

Hello again everyone! Well, we're back in lockdown, I hope you're all keeping safe and looking after yourselves. This has got to come to end at some point right? Considering that the UK has been put into another lockdown, for those of you who are wondering, EastEnders have confirmed that they will still be carry on filming with plenty more social distancing policies in place. I'm very pleased to hear this news, I felt it was hard when EastEnders had to go off air, I was so thrilled when it returned to our screens. Also it doesn't even phase me that the episodes only last 20 minutes, I know it might be annoying some of you guys, but it doesn't matter how long an episode lasts, we're still getting our daily Easties fix!

Now about last night's episode, there's quite a bit to cover, there were quite a few moments I got completely confused, but by the end it all made sense! I'll explain more of that a little later, but first lets focus on Kush and the Slater family. Poor Stacey is completely beside herself, fearing the worst that Kush has kidnapped her son and taken him to Dubai! Kush is still in hope that Whitney will help with the funds he needs to get away, only when she turns up empty handed and refusing to help with his plan, he can see his chances to get away have slumped! Whitney tells him some pretty hard hitting truths, regardless whether he thinks he's doing the right thing for Arthur, Whitney tells him that his actions could force Arthur to hate him, taking him away from his Mum and family, this fact seems to really play on Kush's mind. Back on the Square Stacey and Martin are contemplating calling the police, stating the fact that Kush hasn't left them any choice, only just before they're able to dial, a taxi pulls up and little Arthur is seen getting out. Stacey is overcome with relief as she rushes to her little boy and scoops him up in her arms. Kat really isn't best impressed as she approaches her boyfriend and gives him a huge slap around the face! Regardless of emotions being so high, Ruby is there with a really smug looking face watching everything unfold in front of her! Once inside, Kat lays into Kush about his actions, it's quite hard really because I feel for them both, even though Kush did have it coming! I feel, if Kush hadn't started his gambling addiction, he wouldn't be in this awful mess. Kat mentions how she felt safe with him after being lied to so many times by Alfie. It's clear to see she is in deep distress after being lied to again and again, after being betrayed by someone she truly loved and trusted. Even though Kush is apologetic and trying to persuade her that he'll change, she can't seem to find a way back from this announces their relationship is over. What do you think? Will they be able to work it out? Do you like Kat and Kush together?! Later on, when Ruby is at home, Kush knocks on her door and bursts his way in, blaming her for putting the idea in his head an even more so of giving him the money to flee, in an attempt to blackmail her, he announces that he'll be moving in with her and Martin, seeing as he has no where to go, and if Ruby declines, he'll inform Martin about her giving him the money to take Arthur away, from the look of Ruby's face - she simply has no choice but to let him stay!

The second thing I want to focus on, is Sharon! It looks as if she is still wanting to carry on with her plan and poison Ian. After Phil eventually agreed on helping her take down Ian, she visits him hoping to receive more pills to poison him with, but when he gives her such a small amount, she's not impressed. She informs him that it's not enough and that she needs more, but Phil warns her they need to take it slowly, make it look real, and not give him too many in one go. She seems disappointed but leaves with with pills nonetheless. Back at the Vic, she's prepping the pills and adding them to Ian's coffee, only Linda seems to interrupt her and takes her by surprise. Linda appears with little Ollie as she comes to visit her friend and comes to seek some advice after getting things back on track with Mick, as they begin their catch up, Linda encourages Ollie to go and play with Albie. Later on and Sharon seems to forget what she was previously doing, and enjoys her chat with Linda, little Ollie comes walks in - I'm assuming he's wanting a drink - as he walks straight up to counter and goes to grab the mug left on the side, the mug which contains Ian's poisoned coffee! Luckily, Sharon notices the little boy's actions before any harm can be done, but because she shouted at him so loudly, she scares the poor boy. Linda seems surprised by actions but she thinks quick and explains that she didn't want Ollie having so much caffeine. Linda seems to shake her friends behaviour off, but it looks as if Sharon can't afford to lose her focus, otherwise an innocent party could be badly hurt.

Lastly, the main focus of this episode was Callum and Jack! Previously, Jack had agreed to help Callum out, regarding DI Thompson. Callum feared that if Thompson was going to reveal everything, he'd lose Ben and his place in the Mitchell family for good. The only person he could turn to and actually trust to help him, was Jack. In this episode, Callum informs Jack that a meeting has been arranged with DI Thompson at Ruby's club, at first it all looks like they have a plan in motion to maybe blackmail Thompson, bullying Callum into doing things he shouldn't be doing etc etc. Callum waits nervously, DI Thompson enters and Callum begins to mention that he has something solid on Phil that he'll be interested in - of course it's just an excuse to keep him there until Jack shows up, however Callum begins to panic and struggles under pressure as Jack fails to turn up. My first thought was - where the hell was Jack? Unfortunately, I don't think that question gets answered. Thompson is clearly getting fed up of Callum and his excuses and makes his exit, leaving Callum in a panic. As he attempts to follow, Jack finally turns up, much to Callum's relief. Jack informs Callum to leave as he'll take it from here - it's then that Jack confronts Thompson with what he's been up to the past couple of months and forcing a junior police officer to do things he shouldn't be doing. To save him getting in any trouble, he urges DI Thompson to take early retirement and leave Phil to him. At this moment, I slightly panicked - it had me questioning as to who's side Jack was actually on?! I was so confused - one minute he was helping Callum, the next, helping Thompson! - WHAT?!

But then Jack found Callum and informed him that everything had been sorted, there was no more reason for him to worry and he could tell the Mitchell's everything. Being the supportive colleague, Jack accompanies Callum to the Mitchell's as they reveal everything about DI Thompson's plan. At first both Ben and Phil are furious to hear that Callum was involved, but they both make them see that everything he did was to protect the Mitchell's, putting his career on the line for them! Ben seems to realise how much Callum has gone through to protect him and proposes going to the pub for a drink. However, as Ben and Callum leave, Phil can't seem to understand why Jack would get involved, he senses that something isn't right and he's after something - it's then that Jack reveals to Phil that Thompson has given him a memory stick containing everything that Phil has done in the past up till present day of his dodgy and petty crimes. Phil sees that Jack will want something from him in return if he wants all this to disappear, but what?!

Meanwhile at the pub, Callum is confessing everything to Ben. Informing him that he just wants to be honest with his boyfriend and most importantly, he'd do anything to protect him - even if it means putting his career on the line! Ben is completely overwhelmed by his boyfriend's actions. It's then that Jay walks in and Callum offers to buy the next round of drinks. As he steps up to the bar, Ben looks lovingly at his boyfriend, to which Jay notices, asking what the look was for, Ben innocently smiles and states clear as day "I'm going to marry that man, Jay!" ......... Oooooh I'm sure you Ballum fans will be going crazy after that line!!! Is this a slight hint that there could be a Ballum wedding on the cards? Here's an interesting question - who would you like to see pop the question? Ben to Callum? or Callum to Ben? - Personally I think if Ben was to pop the question to Callum, it would fit so perfectly!!

The final clip we see is Denise walking through the Square, however unbeknown to her, Lucas is following her from a distance! Can I just say how bloody creepy that was? Clearly Lucas is still has it in for his ex, but why?! Denise really needs to keep on her guard! As she reaches her house, suddenly Jack appears with a huge bouquet of flowers, and admits to Denise that he wants to give them both another try. Even though Denise is touched by his romantic gesture, she questions whether he's accepting of having Phil in her life, literally because of Raymond - it's then that things are made clear. Jack informs her that she doesn't have to worry about Phil as he has sorted it - which basically means that they've made some kind of deal, Jack won't dob him into the police as long as Phil stays away from Denise and Raymond ... That's got to be it, right? Even though Phil may have agreed to this arrangement, I do fear he may find it hard, knowing full well that his son is just on the other side of the Square. Then again, I suppose he could take comfort in knowing that his son is close to home. Who knows? As Jack and Denise close in for a kiss and rekindle their romance, Lucas watches with dark eyes from a distance!! He is so creepy, I am so glad that EastEnders have brought him back, it's going to be so interesting to see what brings Lucas back, Denise had best watch her back!

Victoire hated having a nickname, but almost no one outside of her family could pronounce it, but as soon as Teddy started calling her Vic she started disliking it just a little bit less. Teddy was her best friend pretty much since they were in diapers. Fleur tried to send her to Beauxbatons but she absolutely refused and gave her mother the silent treatment for a week because there was no way she would go to a school without Teddy, until her father finally convinced her mother to agree to send her to Hogwarts. She was the closest out of her siblings to her mother and often got advice from her, went shopping together, and went most often to visit her grandparents in France. Out of her siblings, she was the most proficient in French. Dom and she disagreed on most things so they often didn’t get along when they were younger-but after they both graduated, they became closer and soon you could often find one or the other at each other’s places. Victoire loved Louis, but he was much younger than her so they often had trouble finding things in common-but make no mistake-if anyone tried to hurt Louis, Vic would stop at nothing to protect him. Vic cried when Teddy left for Hogwarts and it took her a month to stop moping around the house. When Victoire got to Hogwarts, much like Teddy had two years prior, had assumed she would be sorted into Gryffindor. Much to her surprise, the hat almost immediately placed her in Ravenclaw before even she could barely speak. The hat stated her creativeness, desire to learn new things, and her passion for things she cared about it would put her no where else but Ravenclaw. After the sorting hat shouted Ravenclaw, it took a minute for anyone to clap as everyone was shocked that a Weasley had been sorted anywhere else but Gryffindor. She soon found out that was where she belonged as she thrived with the challenge of getting into the common room, made friends with fellow Ravenclaws-a muggleborn Mallory Atkinson and Riley Finnegan-Thomas (the adopted daughter of Seamus Finnegan and Dean Thomas). Vic struggled making any other friends as many girls were jealous of her because of her natural beauty enhanced by her Veela heritage and boys often just wanted to be her boyfriend. Teddy, even being in different houses, remained her best friend. They often found time to sit in the kitchens, explore the Shrieking Shack, and since Vic never really had an interest in Quidditch either would often join Teddy by the lake with her favorite book. While Vic had plenty of admirers, Victoire realized by the age of 13 that she was in love with her best friend Teddy Lupin. At that time, Teddy was dating his friend and housemate Amy and was positive that Teddy had no interest in her. She continued to focus on her school work and continued to support Teddy as a friend. (WARNING POTENTIAL TRIGGER) By the age of 15, many were shocked that she had not gotten a boyfriend yet, including some of her own cousins. When she was on her way back from a late night at the astronomy tower finishing an assignment, she was cornered by a 7th year Gryffindor boy named Alex Powers-despite being in Gryffindor was an absolute jerk. He forced himself on her and then beat her with an inch of her life. She woke up later in the hospital wing with Teddy’s hand in hers and asleep in a chair next to her bed. When she woke up, she had to account the awful story to Headmistress McGonagall and some aurors (thankfully Harry had the foresight to not assign himself to the case). Alex Powers was charged and expelled from Hogwarts. All the boy cousins soon found out where Alex Powers was hiding out at and gave him the same sort of beating he gave her. After she recovered, and Teddy had not left her side for a minute, Teddy confessed that he was in love with her(he had broken up with his girlfriend Amy shortly after the incident and Amy revealed to Vic that she realized Teddy and her was better off as friends) but knew that she may have not be ready for a relationship with all that had happened. For the first time, Vic was happy since the incident and they kissed. They took the physical parts of the relationship very slow, but Victoire was always happier when had Teddy by her side. Victoire struggled with what she wanted to do post-Hogwarts until in her 7th year Teddy had found her offhand stories that she often wrote in class mindlessly. He took them to a book editor and immediately the editor was interested in more. After Teddy proposed, they moved just down the road from her parents’ house at Shell Cottage and many of her stories pertained to the beach. Most of her stories were children’s book, and she got many acclaims as an author.  With Teddy’s hectic schedule it was nice to be able to work from home and raise her children at the same time.  Their children Remy, Andi, Tonks, and Nick were all incredibly unique in their own way. Remy was born with her blonde hair and Teddy’s dark brown eyes and was a mommy’s boy through and through. He was sorted into Hufflepuff like his father and became an artist. Andi was a tom boy, much to her frustration some of the time since she was her only girl, but gradually adjusted to her daughter’s ways. Andi was the spitting image of her great-grandmother with curly dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. Andi was placed in Gryffindor and became an Auror like her father. Tonks was the quietest and most inquisitive of her children and his favorite activity was building sandcastles at the beach. He had her blonde hair, blue eyes, and freckles and looked the most like her out of her children. He was sorted in Ravenclaw and became an architect. Their surprise child Nick was the most rambunctious of the bunch and was the only metamorphmagus out of her children-he favored pink hair but his natural features were blonde hair with hazel eyes. He was sorted into Gryffindor and continued Weasley Wizard Wheezes with some of his other cousins once his great uncle George retired. Nick brought in a whole new line featuring color changing products and pranks. Teddy and Vic often enjoyed the beach days with their children and eventual grandchildren. Teddy and Vic both died of old age, with Victoire passing one day after Teddy dies.

When I started shipping it if I did:

I don’t ship them romantically but absolutely platonically! ^v^)b

My thoughts:

I absolutely want to see Victor become a kind and good mentor to Yurio. One of the things that still bothers me to this day was how Victor didn’t follow through with his promise to Yurio and ditched him to teach Yuuri. I get why he did it, but it’s not something I admire in an adult doing to a kid who looks up them, and I don’t blame Yurio being hurt and bitter about it. I want to see Victor, now a more happy, emotionally stable, and better person because of Yuuri, learn to take his own advice and become supportive to Yurio too, and Yurio in turn becoming less hostile and being able to open up to both Victor and Yuuri as a result. I want that trust to play a huge part in Yurio maturing, and for him and Victor to eventually become equals who have nothing but absolute respect for each other. (<- Future!Verse lmao)

What makes me happy about them:

A lot of things, but to pick one, I love thinking about them in the past, before Yurio got bitter. I like thinking about Young!Vic tossing casual tips to eager Junior!Yurio who gobbles up every word (and then executes them beyond expectations, to Yakov’s horror). Victor’s not exactly the most conscious of those around him, but I like to think he sometimes notices how tiny!Yurio doesn’t seem to have much food to eat (his grandfather does his best but they’re not well off), or he seems to always be alone when the other juniors have parents waiting for them. And maybe Victor sees something of himself in Yurio, in his isolation and determination but loneliness that Yurio’s so much worse at hiding than Victor. So, Victor takes him out to lunch relatively regularly, not because of pity, but because he Understands.

I like to think that even after things get tense between them, they sometimes remember those times, and when it’s all passed and they’re more mature, they fondly reminisce.

What makes me sad about them:

The way they are around each other for most of the anime? LOL It gets better at the end though, when Victor relies on Yurio as the only person he recognizes has the power to stop Yuuri from retiring. I like to think that’s indicative of how their relationship (between all three of them) will improve after the canon timeline/possible season 2 ^ ^

Things done in fanfic that annoys me:

When they’re portrayed as enemies who loathe each other, who do things to intentionally hurt each other. I see Yurio saying awful things because he’s young and betrayed and trying to poorly cover up hurt, and Victor because he’s self-centered and currently unable to care about that, but I don’t think they hate each other or actually want to hurt each other, and it makes me sad to see it.

I’m also not interested in seeing Yurio be unimportant to Victor (or Yuuri), or be an outsider or third wheel, as I see him as absolutely essential to their relationship.

Things I look for in fanfic:

I don’t really look, but I enjoy when Yurio and Victor clearly care for each other, even if they’re awkward at showing it, and I like seeing them slowly open up ^ ^;

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other:

I ship them both exclusively with Yuuri LMAO (preferably both at the same time AHAHHHAAH *points to self, One Track Mind*)

My happily ever after for them:

To be self-promotional, Future!Verse lmao. I’ve spent the last 2 years dumping everything into this extremely personal ideal Happily Ever After HAHAHA

Let’s go with making skating programs ^ ^; People who know me know that I HC that Victor also goes on to become Yurio’s coach alongside Yuuri’s, and I think that teaching Yurio is a huge learning experience for Victor, because he’s such a different skater from Yuuri. Sure there’s a lot of butting heads, but Yurio so diligently throws himself at everything he knows will help. As he gains confidence to the point he knows he’s doing things that match up to Victor’s standards, I think Yurio’s super assertive about making his own skating programs, and inserting as much of his own personal style into his skating as possible. I love thinking about the two of them going back and forth for hours both at the rink and at home over notes, Yurio tossing ideas and vague images and Victor rejecting/accepting/adjusting those things until they come up with something they both agree will be fantastic <3

Questions and Answers

I’ve gotten a lot of questions about a piece I wrote called ‘Vic Mignogna: A Love Story.’ I’ve spent a lot of time writing back to people, but it’s started to become a serious drain on my time. I’m going to cover a lot of the most common questions here so I don’t have to answer them over and over again. Do you have any proof or evidence that this happened? Absolutely, yes. A lot of the people who were there at the time of the incident remember this clearly, and will say that what I wrote was true in sworn testimony. I understand that this may not be ‘good enough’ for random people on the internet, but it’s certainly admissible evidence in a court of law. Do you have any photos or video of the incident? No. The incident occurred at a gathering of convention guests, not convention attendees. Generally, it’s considered unprofessional (or at the very least impolite) to be snapping pictures or shooting video in a group of professionals without their knowledge.

Why have you waited so long to talk about this? Why now? First things first -- I haven’t. I’ve talked about this many times to friends and family since it happened. A couple of weeks ago, I saw a Twitter thread in which someone claimed that all of the stories about Vic behaving inappropriately were fake, and one of the points they’d made to bolster their argument is that no one had ever been an eyewitness to that behavior from him. Sadly, that’s not true. Do you have screenshots of the conversations you’ve had with Orion’s Envy over the years that you mentioned in the post? Yes.

Why didn’t you go to the police or the con staff about the incident?

As indicated in the post, I did speak with the convention staff about it. The convention organizer has also spoken up, saying that he remembers the incident. As far as going to the police, it comes down to my personal interpretation of what happened. I don’t believe I witnessed a crime. I don’t believe I witnessed sexual assault. I witnessed Vic Mignogna being super-awkward and inappropriate. Please rest assured that if I saw someone being assaulted or molested, I would have called the police immediately. If I called the police every time I saw someone being super-awkward or inappropriate at a convention, I’d spend the entire weekend on the phone. In the past, I have never hesitated to call the police if I suspected a crime in progress.  Are you worried about getting sued? No. That’s not to say that I don’t think it couldn’t happen -- Anyone can sue anyone else for any reason they’d like. The issue really comes down to whether or not what I wrote was defamatory, which it wasn’t. There are a lot of legal points to this and you should definitely talk to a lawyer about it. I am not concerned about this in any way. I am concerned that a lot of people don’t really understand how the judicial system works, and are inflicting their ignorance on others as harassment. The best advice I can give on this matter is to sit down and talk to an attorney about it -- One that you know personally or one that works for you. They can explain all of this with much more authority and experience than I can. I think that the people yelling about this are actually kind of adorable. Getting served for a defamation suit on this matter would be legitimately entertaining to me, not frightening. My home address is a matter of federal record and I’m super-easy to serve. I’m thoroughly amused by the idea.

Why should we believe you?

Simply put, you shouldn’t. You should never believe what someone tells you on their word alone. If you’re interested in the truth about the incident, you should reach out to other people that were there and hear their side of the story and decide for yourself what is (and what is not) credible. Unfortunately, I don’t think most of the people that are angry about what I wrote are doing this. They seem to have decided that anything about Vic Mignogna on the internet is a representation of one side for or against another. Instead of looking for facts or the truth, they’re looking for ways to score points in some kind of internet hashtag team game in which I am not a participant.

Why are you lying about your career? This is a fairly common refrain from fans working with limited information -- notably, folks pulling their information from fan-populated resources like IMDb. STAR TREK is a billion-dollar franchise with products that span much more than just television and movies. I’m mostly known as an audio guy -- An engineer, producer and composer. I produced a huge number of STAR TREK audiobooks for digital distribution, novels (like the amazing Prime Directive by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens) language learning (like Conversational Klingon I and II ) and fun art books (like How To Speak Klingon). My last STAR TREK project was writing music for STAR TREK ADVERSARIES last year, which sadly no longer exists. If you’ve ever seen me at a convention, you’ve likely seen me give a presentation called ‘FutureSounds: The Art and Science of Soundtrack Composition and Sound Design.’ The weirdest thing about this question (to me at least) is that there’s a link to my portfolio in the article I wrote and anyone can go take a look to see what I’ve worked on. I’ll link it again right here. I’ve done a lot more than STAR TREK! Again, as before -- You’re under no obligation to believe me. Please reach out to other folks, hear what they have to say and determine whether or not my claims are credible. 

Why did you choose to write your piece in the style it was written? Ultimately, it was the story about how my girlfriend and I met. It’s a love story, but the catalyst of our friendship was Vic being super-awkward and inappropriate at a convention. If you don’t like my writing style, you’re certainly not alone and you wouldn’t be the first to say so. I take a small amount of solace in that I’ve been paid to write hundreds of thousands of words professionally, so at least some folks feel that it’s good enough. Why are you buying Twitter followers? I’m not. My account gets deluged (and vacated) by bots and I don’t know why. I did a little research on this and learned that the same thing happens to a lot of people. From what I can tell, the bots tend to flow in around the time that there’s a new STAR TREK thing happening, and flow out over time as that news or information ages out. I don’t really care about the number of Twitter followers I have. Other people in the industry (notably actors) certainly do, because bigger numbers can be considered a ‘fan base’ that can give them a little bit of an edge in the casting process. I’m not an actor, and my career started years before Twitter existed. My twitter feed is incredibly boring, and is mostly made up of jokes about my favorite novel (Dune), stories from my D&D games, funny posts about my mom and They Might Be Giants lyrics. I’m obviously not super-interested in branding.

You aren’t relevant in the industry anymore! That’s not a question but yeah, that’s definitely true! I retired from creative work last year and dissolved my production companies. A few years ago I got very, very sick and had a number of intense surgeries. I was unable to work for a long time, and that causes a lot of perspective to shift. I’m still creative and make stuff, but I don’t take on clients anymore. My primary goal is to spend more time having fun with my family and friends. My recent accomplishments don’t have anything to do with the industry. I’ve managed to pass all of the amateur radio exams and hold an Amateur Extra license. I’m working on the commercial radio licenses now, even though I’ll never have a use for them -- It’s just something fun to learn. I’ll probably get back into flight training next year as my strength comes back up. My last guest spot at a convention was speaking about database software, not the audio universe of the Klingon Empire. Apart from that, I’m really enjoying being a convention attendee instead of a guest. There is life after a career in the entertainment industry, and it’s been very good so far.
